The Winnipeg Jets host the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday.

The Winnipeg Jets host the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday.

The Winnipeg Jets will take on Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday from Canada Life Centre.

The game will mark McDavid's first stop in Winnipeg of the 2023-24 season schedule.

It will also be the return of forward Gabe Vilardi to the lineup after the 24-year-old suffered an MCL sprain back on October 17 in just his third game of the season.

David Gustafsson will sit this one out, while Vilardi eases his way into the lineup in a fourth-line role alongside Axel Jonsson-Fjallby and Morgan Barron.

Much like the way the Jets ended Tuesday's tilt against Dallas, Nikolaj Ehlers will join Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele on the team's top unit.

Vlad Namestnikov will centre Cole Perfetti and Alex Iafallo on the second line, while the third line remains untouched.

The Jets' defensive pairs also will stay the same.

Connor Hellebuyck will once again get the start in goal vs. Edmonton.

Winnipeg Jets expected line combinations for Thursday, November 30:

    Connor-Scheifele-Ehlers

    Perfetti-Namestnikov-Iafallo

    Niederreiter-Lowry-Appleton

    Vilardi-Barron-Jonsson-Fjallby

    Morrissey-DeMelo

    Dillon-Pionk

    Samberg-Schmidt

    Hellebuyck

Thursday's game features a 7:00 PM central time puck drop. The game can be viewed live on TSN.
