The 41-18-5 Winnipeg Jets are in preparation to host the 37-25-4 Nashville Predators from Canada Life Centre on Wednesday evening.

For the second-straight game, the Jets will host an opponent in a 6:30 PM central Sportsnet game, before finishing their miniature three-game homestand with a 7:00 PM test on Friday against the Anaheim Ducks.

Wednesday's contest will double as Country Night at Canada Life Centre, with the perfect opponent in town.

The Jets are coming off a dominant 3-0 shutout performance against the unnoticeable Alex Ovechking and the Washington Capitals on Monday. They will look for a repeat performance, but this time will need to do it against a divisional rival.

The expectation is that Connor Hellebuyck gets the start after shutting out Washington on Monday.

With the additions of Sean Monahan, Tyler Toffoli and Colin Miller, head coach Rick Bowness will continue rotating players in and out of his now exceptionally deep lineup until he finds the perfect mix come playoff time.

Mark Scheifele will miss the game due to illness. Rasmus Kupari will slot in for him.

Winnipeg Jets expected line combinations for Wednesday, March 13 vs. Nashville:

Connor-Namestnikov-Ehlers

Iafallo-Monahan-Toffoli

Appleton-Lowry-Niederreiter

Barron-Kupari-Perfetti

Morrissey-DeMelo

Dillon-Pionk

Miller-Samberg
