Vladislav Namestnikov is out with a lower-body injury.

The Winnipeg Jets will be without the services of forward Vladislav Namestnikov for the short-term future.

The veteran forward hurt himself late in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers and according to head coach Rick Bowness, he will miss at least Saturday's game, and likely Monday's contest against the visiting Carolina Hurricanes as well.

He found himself knotted up in a third period battle with Oilers' defenceman Darnell Nurse, to which the 31-year-old came up limp.

Officially considered day-to-day, Namestnikov has suited up in all 22 games for Winnipeg thus far, to which he has two goals and 11 points on the season.

David Gustafsson will draw back into the lineup on Saturday, while Axel Jonsson-Fjallby remains in line to play with Gustafsson and Morgan Barron on the team's fourth grouping.

Gabriel Vilardi moves up to the second line and will skate on Cole Perfetti's wing.
