Wednesday afternoon marked the Canadian Hockey League's imposed trade deadline, and like always, the moves were aplenty.
Some of the largest trades with the most pieces in play involved honorary Manitobans - players who had suited up for one of two past or current Western Hockey League teams.
The Brandon Wheat Kings dealt captain Nate Danielson - a first round pick of the Detroit Red Wings - to the Portland Winterhawks for a slew of prospects/picks.
While the former Winnipeg ICE turned Wenatchee Wild made deals to send away Strathclair, Manitoba's Conor Geekie and longtime linemate Matt Savoie. Their return was also significant.
