Connor Hellebuyck has earned another individual award.
Despite the Winnipeg Jets' recent string of losses, the team does continue to see its players take home individual awards.
This week, goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was named the NHL's third star of the week for the month of November. After forward Kyle Connor took the second star honour in October, his fellow Michigan product thought he'd join in on the party.
Hellebuyck's November began with five-straight wins, including back-to-back shutouts and a franchise-record 191:47 played without giving up a goal.
Through the 30-day month, Hellebuyck went 8-2-0 with two shutouts, a 2.10 goals against average and a .931 save percentage.
The 2023-24 Vezina and Jennings Trophy winner sits first in wins (15) and shutouts (3) this season, while sitting second in goals against average (2.11) and save percentage (.928) to Minnesota's Filip Gustavsson.
Hellebuyck is just the fourth goaltender in NHL history to win 15 of his first 17 games in a season, while helping Winnipeg to the best start in NHL history, with a 15-1-0 record.
The Jets are now in the midst of a three-game losing streak, but return to Canada Life Centre for the first time in seven games on Tuesday night for a test against Central Division opponent, St. Louis. That game can be viewed live on TSN at 7:00 PM central.
