Former two-time Winnipeg Jets forward Brandon Tanev has found a new home in Utah.

Joining the party a year after relocation, the 33-year-old will fill a void in the Mammoth's bottom's six forward group.

Tanev was picked up by the Jets at the trade deadline but was unable to make a significant contribution in their postseason run.

He signed a big-money, three-year, $7.5 million contract with Utah and will report to Salt Lake City this fall.

Tanev has 84 goals and 180 points in 552 career games for the Jets, Penguins and Kraken.

Shortly after the Tanev announcement, Nate Schmidt agreed to a deal for three years and $3.5 million annually also down in Utah, where he will join Tanev.

Later, the Vegas Golden Knights announced the signing of Manitoba Moose defenceman Dylan Coghlan on a one-year, $775K deal. He will also leave the Jets this coming season as the team looks to restock its toolbox as free agency continues.
