Four Jets Players Miss Practice; Proves To Be No Concern

Kyle Connor, Josh Morrissey, Luke Schenn and Rasmus Kupari were all absent from the Winnipeg Jets' practice today for various reasons, but HC Scott Arniel provided the reasons following practice, proving to be no concern.

The Jets last played on Tuesday when they beat the Washington Capitals 3-2 in overtime and won't return to action until Friday against the New Jersey Devils.

In their 3-2 win, Morrissey scored his 12th goal of the season and is now just four goals away from his career high of 16 he set in the 2022-23 season. The 29-year-old has missed just one game this season, which was the first game following the 4 Nations Face-Off where he was also absent for the finals.

After practice today, Arniel indicated that Morrissey did not participate for maintenance reasons. Kupari also did not practice for similar reasons, as he recently returned from suffering a concussion. Keeping things lighter for a young player as they deal with a dangerous injury is the right thing to do.

Connor welcomed the birth of his first child, relieving frightened Jets fans who had concerns about a possible injury. The 28-year-old has scored 37 goals and 86 points this season and should be available for tomorrow's game.

Additionally, Schenn took advantage of the extra day off to visit his family back in Nashville. The 35-year-old has been on the move quite a bit in the last few years.

Unless any changes occur in the next 24 hours or so, all four players should be available against the Devils.
