The Winnipeg Jets will make five selections in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft across the seven rounds.

The Jets will start the draft with the 28th overall selection in the first round. It's nearly impossible to predict who a team will take late in the first round, and multiple draft analysts have predicted different players. Many think the Jets will select a defenseman to strengthen their backend, which at the moment is highlighted by just Elias Salomonsson and Alfons Freij

Some of the defensemen who could be available late in the first round are headlined by Blake Fiddler, Henry Brzustewicz, Sascha Boumedienne, Cameron Reid and Logan Hensler. The forwards include Bill Zonnon, Cullen Potter, Daniil Prokhorov and Malcolm Spence. The Jets could also select a future starting goaltender in Joshua Ravensbergen, who TSN's Bob McKenzie ranked as the 28th-best player in his midseason rankings.

The Jets won't make any selections in the second round after trading it to the New Jersey Devils for Tyler Toffoli at the 2023-24 NHL trade deadline. They'll re-enter the draft in the third round when they make the 92nd selection.

The Jets will skip the fourth round after trading away the pick to the San Jose Sharks, which helped them acquire Vladislav Namestnikov. Following the fourth round, the Jets will make selections in three consecutive rounds. In the fifth round, they'll make the 156th selection, in the sixth round, they'll make the 188th selection, and in the seventh round, they'll make the 220th selection.

    First round: 28th overall
    Third round: 92nd overall
    Fifth round: 156th overall
    Sixth round: 188th overall
    Seventh round: 220th overall

When the draft starts, trades begin. Although the draft order has been determined, it's very likely the Jets either trade back or trade up in the middle rounds. It also hasn't been set in stone that the Jets will select a player at 28. They could move back if they don't like who's available and regain draft capital in the middle rounds.

The first round of the draft is set for Friday, Jun. 28, in Los Angeles, and rounds 2-7 will commence on Saturday.
