HC Scott Arniel spoke to the media following today's practice to provide an update on Stanley's absence. According to Arniel, Stanley blocked a shot against the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday and will be out for the next two games against the Minnesota Wild and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The 26-year-old has played in 22 of the team's 34 games, recording a goal and four points while averaging 15:00 of time on ice. He's been substituting in and out of the lineup with Ville Heinola and Colin Miller.

The 2016 18th overall pick has been inconsistent this year, making numerous errors with the puck and lacking some awareness in his own zone. When on his game, Stanley is able to use his reach to cut off plays and limit the time and space of his opponents.

David Gustafsson was also absent from practice due to an illness. No word has been shared on how long Gustafsson is expected to be out for but with the current forward depth the Jets have, the chances are they'll be patient with him and allow him to get full health.
