    The Winnipeg Jets have signed forward Vladislav Namestnikov to a two-year contract extension.

    On Saturday morning, the Jets announced the signing of the veteran forward to the tune of $6 million. He will make an annual average salary of $3 million.

    The 32-year-old is in his second full season with the Jets, having joined the team midway through the 2022-23 season in a trade with Tampa Bay.

    The second line centre has put up 10 goals, 29 points and 32 penalty minutes in 52 games for Winnipeg this year and has slotted in seamlessly to the Jets' top-six forwards. 

    The contract will begin next season and run through the 2027-28 hockey calendar.

    Selected 27th overall in the 2011 NHL Draft, the Zhukovsky, Russia product has 136 goals, 327 points and 400 penalty minutes to his name in his 760 games.
