Winnipeg Jets star forward and team captain Adam Lowry recently announced his engagement to girlfriend Laura Quinton.

On Tuesday, Lowry, 32, shared a post to his Instagram account indicating the change in his life, and that of his partner Laura Quinton, 28.

Having dated the past six years, Lowry capitalized on some down time during the offseason to pop the question, opting to take the next step in his relationship with his now fiancé. 

Lowry was selected in the third round of the 2011 NHL Draft and has spent the entirety of his professional career within the Jets’ organization, to which he has served as captain the past two seasons. He has now been in Winnipeg for 11 years, to which he met Quinton - a Winnipegger - midway through his time. 

With Lowry typically spending his offseasons back home in Calgary, the two have slowly been building a life together in central and western Canada. Born in St. Louis (while his dad, Dave was playing for the Blues) but calling himself a product of Alberta, it will be interesting to see where the Canadian couple opts to host their nuptials. 

Lowry does spend a good portion of his year in Winnipeg, while Quinton was born and raised and continues her daily work at a tech company within Manitoba’s capital. 

It is expected that Lowry will miss a chunk of the upcoming 2025-26 season after he underwent a procedure on his hip in late-May. His expected recovery timetable is five-to-six months. Lowry has 121 goals, 273 points and 420 penalty minutes in 775 career games with the Jets. He is entering the final season of a five-year contract signed in 2021 that carries an annual average value of $3.25 million.
