On Tuesday evening, the Winnipeg Jets travelled to St. Louis for a Central Division matchup against the Blues. Having recently faced off against St. Louis back on October 24, the Jets were looking for a similar result against a club with a very similar record entering the night.
Winnipeg's top line walked away with 10 combined points, with Alex Iafallo leading the way with four assists. Kyle Connor had two goals and an assist, while Mark Scheifele had a single goal and two helpers on the night.
Neal Pionk found his first goal of the season, while Cole Perfetti got the other marker for the Jets.
With his two goals, Connor moved up the franchise's all-time scoring leaderboard, tying former teammate Bryan Little for fourth place. He is now just 45 goals behind Blake Wheeler for the third most in Jets/Atlanta Thrashers franchise history.
With the win, Winnipeg improved to 6-4-2 overall and 4-2-1 on the road this season. The team has picked up points in seven of its last eight games.
Connor Hellebuyck made 20 saves for his sixth win in 10 outings on the year. He is now 6-3-1 and has seen his goals against average dip down under 3.00 (2.98), while his save percentage is climbing back toward the .900 mark (.892).
Next up for Winnipeg is a season-long, five-game homestand beginning on Thursday evening with a Central Division tilt against the Nashville Predators.
The Jets will then host the Dallas Stars, New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres before wrapping things up with the Arizona Coyotes in a Saturday evening affair. The first four games can be viewed live on TSN, while the finale will be aired on Sportsnet.
