Winnipeg Jets prospect Kieron Walton concluded his third OHL season with the Sudbury Wolves, setting new career highs in goals, assists and points.

The Jets drafted Walton in the sixth round (187th overall) in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. In his draft season, Walton recorded 18 goals and 43 points in 65 games. This season saw Walton flip the script, scoring 38 goals and 92 points in 66 games, leading the Wolves in both statistical categories.
The 18-year-old is listed at 6'6, 212 lbs and plays as a centre. Players of Walton's stature take time to get accustomed to their size, and it's a long process for them to understand how to use it to their advantage. For Walton, it all came together this season, and early signs show he could be a steal, ranking fourth among 2024 draft picks in OHL goals and points.
The Wolves enter the OHL playoffs as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, set for a duel against the third-place Kingston Frontenacs, headlined by Calgary Flames prospect Jacob Battaglia and Vegas Golden Knights prospect Tuomas Uronen.
The Wolves, headlined by Walton and San Jose Sharks prospect Quentin Musty, will be in tough against the Frontenacs but have all the tools to pull out the upset in the first round.
Walton remains unsigned but could sign his entry-level contract with the Jets if his strong play continues through the playoffs.
