Prospects of the Winnipeg Jets played three games in Penticton, British Columbia over the weekend.

The Winnipeg Jets suited up in game action this past week for the first time since Game 5 of the opening round of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

No, it wasn't the players from the short-lived postseason run, but rather the next generation of Jets talent showing what they've got in a four-team rookie tournament.

Joining the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers prospects, the Jets prospects travelled west to Penticton, British Columbia for a three-game-in-four-day round robin at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

With all three games live-streamed on the Jets main website, fans were able to tune in for contests on Friday, Sunday and Monday, to which Winnipeg managed a singular victory over its western-Canadian rivals.

Although scoring the first goal (Connor Levis) of its opening game against Edmonton on Friday, Winnipeg fell to the Oilers' prospects 3-1 in a game to which it only recorded 14 total shots on net. Domenic DiVincentiis made 33 stops in the game.

With Sunday's game against Vancouver actually starting worse than Friday's tilt, the Jets managed to bounce back from a 2-0 third period deficit and win the game 3-2 by way of shootout.

2023 NHL Draft selections Jacob Julien and Colby Barlow each scored for Winnipeg, before Danny Zhilkin notched the shootout winner, to steal the game 3-2 out of the hands of the Canucks. Thomas Milic turned aside 39 shots sent his way.

Monday's game was a 4-2 loss to Calgary, to which Winnipeg fell behind early. Elias Salomonsson and Nikita Chibrikov each scored for the Jets, while Milic and DiVincentiis split time between the pipes.

Next up for Winnipeg is training camp and the 2023-24 jersey unveiling, which is set to run from Thursday, September 21 through Friday, October 6 at the Hockey For All Centre just west of the city's Perimeter Highway.

56 total players will take part, to which they have been divided into two teams (Team Selanne and Team Numminen) and will skate back-to-back on separate ice surfaces at the practice facility. These events are open to the public.
