
The Jets have agreed to terms on a multi-year deal with Namestnikov worth at total of $4 million. He will earn $2 million annually.
The 30-year-old Zhukovsky, Russia product spent the final 20 games of the 2022-23 season with Winnipeg, where he served rather productively as a bottom-six forward, while given top-six minutes at times, due to injury.
He put up two goals and 10 points in that 20 trial period for Winnipeg, and then collected two assists for the Jets in the first round of the playoffs.
Namestnikov had eight goals and 25 points to go alongside 35 total penalty minutes on the year.
He's coming off a one-year, $2.5 million contract, to which this new deal is actually a slight downgrade in pay.
