    The Winnipeg Jets have announced a new two-year, two-way contract for forward Dominic Toninato.

    The team has re-signed the 29-year-old forward for two more seasons, to which he will earn $775K at the NHL level.

    The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Duluth, MN. product spent the majority of the 2022-23 season with the Manitoba Moose, to which he put up 19 goals and 35 points in 50 outings. 

    He started the year with the Jets and was recalled late in the season, but only managed a single assist in his five appearances.

    The former fifth round pick (126th overall in 2012 by the Toronto Maple Leafs) has spent the past three years with the Jets organization. 2021-22 was his most productive as he stuck with Winnipeg for 77 games, scoring seven goals and 14 points on the year. 

    Through his 169-game career with the Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers and Jets, Toninato has 12 goals, 30 points and 73 penalty minutes to his name. He has one goal and one penalty in six postseason outings. 

    Toninato has an estimated $3.3 million in career earnings.
