The Winnipeg Jets have signed 2024 fourth-round pick (109th overall) Kevin He to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The 18-year-old is the captain of the Niagara Ice Dogs and is enjoying a phenomenal season, scoring 23 goals and 43 points in 29 games. He sits second on his team in both goals and points and inside the top five in goals and 15 in points among all skaters in the OHL.

He was born in Beijing, China, and has become the first Chinese-born player to sign an NHL contract.

The offensive step he's taken in development has come sooner than the Jets thought, but it's greatly accepted. Known for his motor, speed, physicality, and aggressiveness in winning pucks back, his recent goal-scoring surge is a testament to how hard he works.

He was born in China and moved to Montreal when he was six years old. He had started skating in Beijing but got his first taste of organized hockey in Montreal. When he was 12, He and his family moved to Toronto to play for the North York Rangers AAA team in the GTHL.

The 6'0, 180 lbs left-handed winger has helped transform the Ice Dogs from one of the worst teams in the OHL last year and into a top-six team this year.
