The Winnipeg Jets and Ottawa Senators came together on a trade on Friday.

Yes, the trade deadline was last Friday, but players are still eligible to be dealt following the cut-off. The only stipulation is that those involved are not allowed to play on their new NHL clubs through the postseason, but rather remain in junior or the minors through the duration of the season.

The deal saw Manitoba Moose forward Wyatt Bongiovanni shipped to Ottawa in exchange for future considerations.

The 24-year-old American has spent the past two years with Manitoba, where he put up 21 goals and 33 points in 93 total regular season games. He has another two goals and three points in five postseason contests for the Moose.

The former captain of Quinnipiac University will now spend the remainder of the year with the AHL's Belleville Senators.
