The Winnipeg Jets have travelled to Denver for Game 3 of their opening round series with the Colorado Avalanche.

Carter Brooks Winnipeg Jets Postgame Report

The Winnipeg Jets are set to face the Colorado Avalanche in Game 3 of their Stanley Cup Playoffs opening round matchup.

Entering the game with the series tied at ones, the Jets will look to salvage at least a split on the road to head back to Winnipeg with the hopes of pulling head in Game 5 on Tuesday.

Beginning the best-of-seven with an absurd 7-6 victory, Winnipeg lost control in Game 2, falling 5-2 to the Avs, which saw much better goaltending from Alexander Georgiev.

Connor Hellebuyck - on the other hand - has given up 10 goals in just two games - something no one was expecting from the runaway Vezina Trophy leader this past season.

Winnipeg will go with a similar set of players in Colorado, as head coach Rick Bowness hopes to change the result with nearly the same crew. The only change will see Nate Schmidt come in for Logan Stanley on the blueline.

Winnipeg Jets expected line combinations for Friday, April 26 at Colorado:

Connor-Scheifele-Vilardi

Ehlers-Monahan-Toffoli

Niederreiter-Lowry-Appleton

Gustafsson-Namestnikov-Iafallo

Morrissey-DeMelo

Dillon-Pionk

Schmidt-Samberg

Injured: Barron

Healthy scratches: Kupari, Perfetti, Stanley, Miller

Puck drop is set for roughly 9:15 PM central time, while the game can be viewed live on Sportsnet and CBC.
