The Winnipeg Jets are set to take on the Colorado Avalanche in the fifth game of their best-of-seven, opening round Stanley Cup Playoffs series.
The game will go at 8:50 PM central time from Manitoba's capital, as fans dressed in white will look to help their team get over the hump that has been the Avalanche so far this postseason.
After pulling ahead for a 1-0 series lead in a thrilling 7-6 Game 1 victory, the Jets have let off the gas pedal and allowed Colorado to storm back with three-straight 5+ goal games.
In four games so far, the Avalanche have scored 22 goals, while allowing just 12 goals against (five in their last three games).
The Jets, which have now lost Morgan Barron (lower-body), Brenden Dillon (hand) and Vladislav Namestnikov (head) to injury, will look to make some lineup changes ahead of Game 5.
Should Winnipeg lose, its season would be over. So, a rather offensive outing is expecting, as the team will need to play with a 'going for broke' mentality.
Changes to the Jets' lineup will include Cole Perfetti drawing back in and Tyler Toffoli shifting down to line four, while Kyle Connor will join Sean Monahan and Perfetti on the second line.
Winnipeg Jets' expected line combinations for Tuesday, April 30 vs. Colorado:
Ehlers-Scheifele-Vilardi
Connor-Monahan-Perfetti
Appleton-Lowry-Niederreiter
Toffoli-Gustafsson-Iafallo
Morrissey-DeMelo
Samberg-Pionk
Schmidt-Miller
Hellebuyck
Injured: Dillon, Barron, Namestnikov
Healthy scratches: Kupari, Stanley, Jonsson-Fjallby
The game will get underway at approximately 8:50 PM and can be viewed live on Sportsnet.
