The Winnipeg Jets take on the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night.

The 16-8-2 Winnipeg Jets hit the ice at SAP Center in San Jose on Tuesday night for a tilt with the 8-17-3 Sharks.

The game is the first of two-straight tilts featuring 9:30 PM central start times, as the Jets next travel to Los Angeles for a game against the Kings on Wednesday.

There will be changes to Winnipeg's lineup for these games on all three positions.

Up front, there will be no Kyle Connor, as the Jets will begin life without their star forward who was injured on Sunday in Anaheim.

According to head coach Rick Bowness, Connor is in transit back to Winnipeg, where he will be re-evaluated by team doctors. He will not play vs. San Jose or Los Angeles this week.

All of Gabe Vilardi, Vlad Namestnikov and David Gustafsson  will suit on up on Tuesday, as the team goes 11/7, while Connor shifts to the injured list alongside Rasmus Kupari and Ville Heinola.

On defence, Nate Schmidt draws into the lineup following a brief hiatus, while Logan Stanley remains in as the seventh defenceman. Declan Chisholm remains in the press box.

There will also be a change in net, as Laurent Brossoit will get the nod in the first game of the back-to-back, while Connor Hellebuyck will get the chance to face off against former teammate Pierre-Luc Dubois on Wednesday.
