The 53-21-4 Winnipeg Jets have hit the ice in Dallas, where they will take on the rapidly climbing 50-22-6 Stars on Thursday evening.
With just four points separating the two Central Division clubs, the gargantuan tilt will play a key role in the final standings - both divisionally and league-wide.
Only the Washington Capitals (who also play on Thursday evening) sit between the No. 1 and 3 clubs, with 107 points in one fewer game played than Winnipeg's 110 points and Dallas' 106.
Both Dallas and Winnipeg will have three more games following the Thursday evening affair, meaning no matter what happens on Thursday, both teams will still have the possibility of finishing first in the division.
Having dealt with some key injuries over the past few weeks, Winnipeg may have some reinforcements on the way shortly, as soon as Thursday's tilt.
Nikolaj Ehlers is once again considered a game-time decision, while Neal Pionk is also a possibility for Thursday. If neither Ehlers or Pionk can go, David Gustafsson and Colin Miller are expected to draw in.
Connor Hellebuyck will get the start in goal.
Winnipeg Jets' expected line combinations for Thursday, April 10 vs. Dallas:
