The 48-24-6 Winnipeg Jets have travelled to Dallas for a test with the 50-20-9 Stars from American Airlines Center on Thursday night.
Entering the game seven points back of the Stars and two points behind the dormant Colorado Avalanche for second-place in the Central Division, Winnipeg comes in hot, having won four-straight contests - the latest victory, a 4-3 overtime triumph over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night.
Thursday will mark Winnipeg's final attempt to beat the Stars, having gone 0-3-0 in the previous regular season matchups this season.
A likely postseason opponent should the Jets make it out of the first round, Dallas has had an exceptionally strong second half of the season and will be no pushover on Thursday.
Winnipeg's bench boss Rick Bowness has made some changes in advance of the game, most notably scratching forward Cole Perfetti, while starting Laurent Brossoit and flipping Nikolaj Ehlers onto the second line.
According to Ken Wiebe who is on-site in Dallas, the Jets will look a little different on Thursday.
Winnipeg Jets expected line combinations for Thursday, April 11 vs. Dallas:
Connor - Scheifele - Vilardi
Ehlers - Monahan - Toffoli
Gustafsson - Lowry - Appleton
Barron - Namestnikov - Iafallo
Morrissey - DeMelo
Dillon - Pionk
