The Winnipeg Jets host the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday evening.

The Winnipeg Jets will take on the first-place Colorado Avalanche on Saturday evening from Canada Life Centre.

The game holds serious standings implications, with the 18-9-2 Avs holding down 38 points for first-place in the Central Division, while Winnipeg enters the night third in the Central with a 17-9-2 record.

Between the two teams is the Dallas Stars, which take on the St. Louis Blues one hour later. Sitting between Colorado's 38 points and Winnipeg's 36 points, the Stars could actually leapfrog the Avalanche and Jets, should both Winnipeg and Dallas win by night's end.

Winnipeg is expected to go with the same lineup to that of its win over Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

Winnipeg Jets expected lines for Saturday, December 16 vs. Colorado:

    Ehlers - Scheifele - Vilardi

    Perfetti - Namestnikov - Iafallo

    Neiderreiter - Lowry - Appleton

    Barron - Gustafsson - Jonsson-Fjallby

    Morrissey - DeMelo

    Dillon - Pionk

    Samberg - Schmidt

    Injured: Kupari, Heinola

    Healthy Scratch: Stanley, Chisholm

Puck drop is set for 6:00 PM central time, while the game can be viewed live on Sportsnet.
