Jets face Canadiens before Olympic break. Despite recent points, playoff hopes dwindle. See Winnipeg's final lineup before the hiatus.

The 22-25-8 Winnipeg Jets are back home to host the 31-17-8 Montreal Canadiens for the Jets' final game before the extended Winter Olympic break.

Wednesday's 6:00 PM central start will feature a Jets team that, despite having picked up points in 11 of its last 15 games, remains nine full points behind the Seattle Kraken for the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.

The Jets' recent accumulation of points has also pulled them right out of the league's basement, where they currently sit in no-man's land in the No. 28 spot overall - a few positions removed from selecting a generational talent with the No. 1 or No. 2 overall selection this June.

Wednesday's game will be the only home date in February at Canada Life Centre this season, with the three-week break leaving most of the month free from hockey. Winnipeg does return to action on February 25th for a three-game road trip out West in Vancouver, Anaheim and San Jose.

Connor Hellebuyck will start in net for the Jets, while the player groupings are expected to remain in tact on forward and defence.
