The 40-18-5 Winnipeg Jets are set to host the 30-23-9 Washington Capitals from Canada Life Centre on Monday evening.

The game will be the Jets' first since being called out by head coach Rick Bowness following Saturday night's lopsided 5-0 defeat in Vancouver.

It will also be the Jets' third game in a span of four days (1-1-0).

Monday night will mark the debut of trade deadline acquisitions Tyler Toffoli and Colin Miller from the New Jersey Devils.

With two new players added to the fold, two players will be required to come out of the lineup for the Jets in order to have a 20-man playing roster.

Those two players are expected to be Nate Schmidt on the blueline, and David Gustafsson up front.
