Another honour has been added to Jocelyne Larocque's remarkable hockey resume.

The Ste. Anne, MB. product has been named to the University of Minnesota Duluth Athletics Hall of Fame as part of its 2026 induction class.

Larocque has put together one of the most accomplished careers in Bulldogs women's hockey history and now has a place in its hall of fame. The 11-member class will be formally inducted on September 18 before being recognized during halftime of UMD's football game the following day.

Larocque, now 38, played four seasons with the Bulldogs from 2007-11, helping lead the program to NCAA national championships in 2008 and 2010. A two-time All-American, she graduated as Minnesota Duluth's all-time leading scoring defenceman with 105 points in 127 games, a record she still holds. She was also named the WCHA Defensive Player of the Year and Outstanding Student-Athlete in 2010-11.

Her induction comes during another milestone year. This past season, Larocque represented Canada at her fourth Olympic Winter Games, helping the national team capture a silver medal in Milano Cortina. She also served as captain of the Ottawa Charge after being acquired midway through the 2024-25 PWHL season. She remains one of the most decorated players in Canadian women's hockey.

Larocque's soon to be hall of fame induction stems from her success beginning at Minnesota Duluth, which laid the foundation for an international career that has included multiple Olympic and world championship medals, while establishing her as one of the premier defencemen of this generation.

Larocque joins an accomplished 2026 induction class that includes former Bulldogs student-athletes, coaches and contributors from several sports, with her career standing among the most decorated in the history of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey.

The 2026 UMD Hall of Fame class also includes John and Colleen Economos (Football/Baseball, Longtime Bulldog Supporters) Clare Dahmen (Soccer), John Fulkrod (Head Men's and Women's Coach, Cross Country and Track and Field), Mike Hirschey (Wrestling), Kurt King (Football), Kate (Lange) Sterns (Volleyball), Kim (Martin) Hasson (Women's Hockey), Rick Menz (Men's and Women's Hockey Equipment Manager), and Alex Stalock (Men's Hockey).
