The Winnipeg Jets will once again be without forward Mark Scheifele on Saturday evening.

The Winnipeg Jets will host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night from Canada Life Centre in the second half a home-and-home matchup.

Falling 1-0 in overtime to the Leafs in Toronto on Wednesday, the injured Jets returned home in hopes of getting some bodies back to their depleted offensive lineup.

Already without Mark Scheifele and Gabe Vilardi up front, Winnipeg lost Josh Morrissey in the first period on Wednesday after blocking a Matthew Knies shot close to the net.

Morrissey returned to practice on Friday, while Scheifele and Vilardi also skated in their first-line place. However, after the skate head coach Rick Bowness announced that Scheifele would need more time to recover.

He will now have the full bye-week to rest up, before the Jets return to action on February 6 vs. Pittsburgh.

Vilardi and Morrissey are considered game-time decisions on Saturday.
