The Manitoba Moose continued to add to the roster, signing forward Mikey Milne and defenceman Evan Nause to one-year American Hockey League contracts for the 2026-27 season.

Milne, 23, arrives in Winnipeg after splitting last season between the Grand Rapids Griffins, Iowa Wild and Syracuse Crunch, recording six points (two goals, four assists) in 39 AHL games. He also enjoyed a productive postseason with the ECHL's Toledo Walleye, tallying nine points (four goals, five assists) in 12 Kelly Cup Playoff contests after adding two assists in five regular-season games.

The Abbotsford, B.C., native has appeared in 196 career AHL games, collecting 32 goals and 34 assists for 66 points while spending the majority of his time with Iowa. Milne also made his NHL debut with the Minnesota Wild on Nov. 16, 2024, skating in one game against the Dallas Stars.

Before turning pro, Milne compiled 133 points (60 goals, 73 assists) in 175 WHL games with the Winnipeg ICE and Kootenay ICE. Minnesota selected him in the third round (89th overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft.

Nause, meanwhile, joins the Moose after spending last season with the ECHL's Savannah Ghost Pirates, where he registered 22 points (four goals, 18 assists) in 65 games.

The 23-year-old defenceman has totaled 56 points (10 goals, 46 assists) across 156 career ECHL games with Savannah and the Florida Everblades. He has also appeared in nine career AHL contests with the Charlotte Checkers, to which he recorded one assist.

Originally selected by the Florida Panthers in the second round of the 2021 NHL Draft, Nause enjoyed a decorated junior career with the Quebec Remparts. The Riverview, N.B., product posted 97 points (17 goals, 80 assists) in 131 QMJHL games, earned QMJHL All-Rookie Team honours in 2021 and helped the Remparts capture both the QMJHL championship and the Memorial Cup in 2023.
