The Manitoba Moose went 1-1 at home against Iowa this past weekend.

The Manitoba Moose went at it with the visiting Iowa Wild from Canada Life Centre over the weekend.
The Moose put up 10 goals in the two games, but only walked away with a 1-1 record. Dropping the opening contest 4-2 on Friday, Manitoba responded with a whopping eight goals the following day in an 8-2 thrashing.
Brad Lambert scored his third goal of the season, while he and defenceman Kyle Capobianco each put up multi-point affairs on Friday, but it was Wild goaltender Jesper Wallstedt who stole the show with 33 stops on 35 shots.
The Saturday night affair was nothing like Friday's contest. After closing the first period with a 2-1 lead, the Moose rallied for four goals in the second period, before adding another two in the final frame, adding insult to injury as Manitoba finished off the Wild by an 8-2 final.
Capobianco had four points on the night, while Wyatt Bongiovanni had three assists in the affair. Fifteen different Moose players had points in the game, while Collin Delia bounced back following Friday's loss.
Zane McIntyre was on the books for all eight Moose goals. He stopped 40 of the 48 shots fired his way.
Moving to 2-2-0 on the season, the Moose have now split their opening two series at home and will transition to becoming the road club for a two-game series next weekend.
Manitoba will travel to Texas for a two-game set with the Stars on Friday and Saturday, to which the Moose will hope to pull above .500 for the first time this season.
