Five members of the Vegas Golden Knights will be touring the Stanley Cup through Manitoba this summer.

The Hockey News has learned that the Stanley Cup will be Manitoba-bound on two separate occasions, to which multiple rostered members will get their chance to host private/public events for within their home communities.

Led by general manager Kelly McCrimmon, the Golden Knights defeated the Florida Panthers to capture hockey's greatest prize this past spring.

Now the man who called Brandon his home for parts of 30 seasons will be bringing the Cup back to Westman for his friends and family to take in his accomplishment.

McCrimmon will lead off a five-day tour beginning in Brandon on July 21, before Lord Stanley's mug makes its way to Oakbank - AKA the hometown of forward Brett Howden on July 23.

Following its day with the 25-year-old Howden, the Cup will then travel to the rural municipality nearest Winnipeg's western perimeter - Headingley - where team captain and Westwood product Mark Stone will celebrate at a local golf course.

Stone, who will have the Cup on July 25, will be the final stop for Philip Pritchard - AKA the Keeper of the Cup - in Stanley's first swing through Manitoba.

The duo will continue their summer travels before returning to Manitoba for two of the final destinations on the offseason itinerary.

Roughly a month later it will be Winnipeg's Keegan Kolesar (August 22) and Sioux Valley Dakota Nation's Zach Whitecloud (August 23) who will have their respective days with the Cup. Kolesar will keep it in the province's capital city, while Whitecloud is expected to also make a stop in Virden, on top of his home community just north of Brandon.

With all five Manitoba dates now officially set, those involved will be tasked with organizing their events - both public and private - while ensuring they do their best to keep the Cup in tact for their fellow teammates.
