Brenden and Emma Dillon have officially tied the knot... a second time.

One of the many casualties of COVID was that of experiencing 'normal' weddings during 2020, 2021 and even parts of 2022.

For Winnipeg Jets defenceman Brenden Dillon, it was actually his own wedding that got slightly ripped off due to government restrictions.

Originally scheduled to celebrate his big day with longtime girlfriend Emma Wittchow during the summer months of 2020, the rescheduled NHL 'bubble' playoffs made that plan impossible.

Brenden and Emma were finally married in an intimate Stanley Park, Vancouver setting in early November of 2020. With no guests in attendance thanks to temporary governmental regulations, the couple opted to 're-do' their celebration this past week in Aspen, Colorado.

And according to an Instagram post from Emma following the wedding, the plan was always to have a public do-over when schedules and rules allow.

"Postponing our wedding was beyond hard," Emma Dillon shared. "We can't wait for the day when COVID won't be able to take that big dreamy wedding away from us. Until then, we'll start our lives as husband and wife!"

The couple was finally able to host a public event with friends, family and teammates (current and ex) in attendance at a breathtaking venue in the Rocky Mountains.

Engaged as a member of the San Jose Sharks, married as a member of the Washington Capitals, re-married as a member of the Winnipeg Jets... the last few years have certainly been a whirlwind for Brenden and Emma.
