Winnipeg's AHL affiliate hire new assistant head coach Bob Nardella ahead of 2025-26 season.

The Manitoba Moose have added a seasoned presence behind the bench, announcing the hiring of Bob Nardella as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

Nardella will work alongside head coach Mark Morrison as the team prepares for another competitive campaign in the AHL.

Nardella brings over a decade of coaching experience, most recently serving as head coach of the Chicago Wolves during the 2023-24 season. He joined the Wolves organization in 2012-13 as a skills coach before being promoted to assistant coach in 2014-15, a role he held for nearly a decade. His coaching résumé includes a Calder Cup championship in 2022.

Before transitioning to coaching, Nardella carved out an impressive playing career. The Melrose Park, Illinois native suited up for seven seasons with the Wolves in both the AHL and IHL, posting 298 points (59 goals, 239 assists) across 476 games. His on-ice achievements include winning two Turner Cup titles (1998, 2000) and a Calder Cup in 2002.

Internationally, Nardella represented Italy at the Winter Olympics in both 1998 and 2006, and also played professionally in Italy and Germany.

With Nardella now on board, the Moose continue to build a coaching staff rich in experience and success.
