Star forward Mark Scheifele left Game 4 against Vegas early in the first period with what appeared to be an upper-body injury.
Much like that of Morrissey's injury on Saturday afternoon, the play in question happened on Scheifele's first shift of the game.
He was sprung on a breakaway by linemate Blake Wheeler, to which he deked Laurent Brossoit. But as he attempted to dodge the legs of his former teammate, Scheifele went flying head-over-heels into the end-boards.
The 42-goal scorer stayed down for a few moments before getting up to finish his shift.
With the Jets getting an early-game power play, Scheifele attempted a shift with his normal unit. The puck came his way, but he was unable to put much power on his shot from the top of the crease and bolted directly off the ice, hunched over in pain.
He left the ice 5:11 into the period and did not return to the game, finishing with 1:40 of ice-time.
