With the eyes of the hockey world having zeroed in on Las Vegas, NV. for the opening of the Stanley Cup Final this past week, Sin City did not disappoint. And the local stars came out to support their club.

The Vegas Golden Knights jumped out to a 2-0 series lead over the Florida Panthers, while fans at T-Mobile Arena and those tuning in from armchairs internationally were once again given a front row seat to the hottest show on ice.

Making their postseason debut in 2018, the Golden Knights wowed audiences at 'The Fortress' with their peculiar medieval on-ice shows, as the world went Vegas crazy for the first year Stanley Cup-bound team.

Returning to the Cup final five years later, the pyro-theatrics and special guest supporters have grown, as one would expect.

With no shortage of celebrity appearances, Game 1 featured Golden Knights fans Owen Wilson and Lil Jon taking in the action side-by-side from a luxury booth. Flo Rida made an appearance in Game 3, while various other local supporters have donned the gold and black over the team's short existence.

So this poses the question: Which local singers or celebrities would make appearances should the Winnipeg Jets make it all the way to the Stanley Cup Final?

Yes, yes, we know... the Jets need to get to the Final before worrying about who would attend as as special guest. But, all hypothetical scenarios aside, who would serve as Winnipeg's best celebrity?

Already blessed by the presence of the ever-growing legend of 'Dancing' Gabe Langlois - who has attended nearly every local professional Winnipeg sporting team event in town since the late 1980s - the Jets will need to dig a little deeper.

Now, there are other up-and-coming stars within the local scene. One such character is that of Winnipeg super fan and promoter-extraordinaire Carter Chen.

Although Chen is well known to the 'foodie', sporting, and live event crowd in The 'Peg, his repertoire doesn't quite fit the bill of Vegas' Saturday appearance from Owen Wilson and Jonathan 'Lil Jon' Smith.

But that said, Wilson (Dallas, TX.) and Smith (Atlanta, GA.) aren't even Nevada products, but rather local stars just passing through town.

Already using one of Winnipeg's most famous personnel, wrestler Chris Jericho, as an in-arena chant leader, the Jets would have a number of musical acts at their disposal, should they ever consider bringing in some 'known' musical faces.

Burton Cummings, Randy Bachman and The Guess Who are by far the city's most iconic group. The Watchmen, Neil Young, Chantal Kreviazuk, The Weakerthans and Fred Penner would likely be the next-best things, music-wise. Petric, Doc Walker and Don Amero would certainly provide the country music lovers with some local flavour.

But if we want to push it a tad, Canadian pop music superstar Justin Bieber did spend part of his developmental years growing up in Manitoba's capital - much like that of fellow singer Paula Abdul. Now wouldn't they make for a hearty pop duo?

Although unable to bring fellow Manitobans Rowdy Roddy Piper, Terry Fox, Louis Riel and Tommy Douglas back from the grave, local magician Darcy Oake might have the best shot at an illusion of such. A Winnie the Pooh caricature might also be of some fun.

But now we ask you, who would fill the role as the biggest Winnipeg-made celebrity to spend a night in the seats cheering on the Jets at Canada Life Centre?
