The Manitoba Moose have some reinforcements on the way.

The team announced that it had assigned 20-year-old forward Fabian Wagner from the Swedish Hockey League's Linkoping to Manitoba.

Drafted 175th overall by Winnipeg in the sixth round of the 2022 NHL Draft, Wagner also spent the 2023-24 season with Linkoping, where he put up six points in 41 contests. He's suited up in 16 games so far this season.

Wagner skated in the last two World Junior Hockey Championships, where where he had six points two years ago and took home a silver medal last year.

The shifty centreman is listed at six feet tall but tips the scales at just 165 pounds. He will look to gain some familiarity within Winnipeg and Canada Life Centre as the 2024-25 season wears on.
