
Thanks to a 7-5 victory over the Texas Stars, Manitoba has clinched a place in the AHL postseason for the 17th time.
As one of 23 teams to participate in the AHL playoffs, the Moose needed to play 69 of 72 regular season games to officially clinch their place alongside four other Central Division clubs.
Currently owning a 36-25-5-4 record and a .579 points percentage on the year, Manitoba has 220 goals for on the season while giving up very similar 219 against.
The team has been consistent both at home (19-13-1-3) and on the road (17-12-4-1) this year, finishing third in its division.

Jansen Harkins has been the team's top player with 24 goals and 47 points in just 42 games this year, while Alex Limoges leads the team in points with 51. Evan Polei is tops among all players with 88 penalty minutes, while Jeff Malott's seven power play goals and 175 shots rank him No. 1 in those offensive categories. Leon Gawanke is the team's top defenceman with 19 goals, 44 points and 174 shots on net.
With two games left on the schedule, the Moose will next travel to Rockford and Chicago for back-to-back weekend tests against the IceHogs and the Wolves as the season concludes.
