The Manitoba Moose have sent defenceman Dmitry Kuzmin to the ECHL.

The Manitoba Moose have announced the club has re-assigned defenceman Dmitry Kuzmin to the Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL.

The 20-year-old has made it into just two AHL contests for Manitoba this year, both coming since his most recent recall.

His AHL debut came on December 8, where he registered three shots on net. In his 10 ECHL games this season, Kuzmin has scored once and also added an assist.

Selected 82nd overall in the third round by the Jets in the 2021 NHL Draft, the 5-foot-10, 190-pound blueliner made his way to North America from Belarus for the 2021-22 Ontario Hockey League season.

He suited up for the OHL's Flint Firebirds for two years, scoring 32 goals and 103 points to go alongside 114 penalty minutes in 122 Major Junior games.

Next up for Manitoba is a two-game set against the Milwaukee Admirals from Canada Life Centre beginning on Friday.thn
