Mark Scheifele put the finishing touches on the shutout performance with his 25th of the year into the empty net, sealing the deal for Winnipeg on its 3-0 win. With the victory, the Jets pulled into a tie for second-place in the Central Division trailing none other than the Dallas Stars. Winnipeg and Colorado now sit at 104 points, but it is Winnipeg that owns the tiebreak between the two teams. Brossoit turned aside all 24 shots he faced on the night, while Jake Oettinger made 21 saves on the 23 pucks fired his way by Winnipeg. Winnipeg now takes on Colorado in its final road game of the season on Saturday afternoon. The game will have significant consequence in the Central Division playoff race, with each team having just three games remaining - including the Saturday afternoon showdown. Winnipeg then returns home to face the Seattle Kraken and Vancouver Canucks to wrap up the 82-game regular season.
