The now 31-year-old enters his 14th season with the Jets and will look to break some major milestones with the team. ESPN has Scheifele projected to finish with 28 goals and 42 assists for 70 points while Yahoo Sports has him projected to finish with just under 80 this upcoming season. The sportsbooks have Scheifele listed with an over/under of 70.5 points next season if Jets fans are feeling confident in their longtime centre. He enters the second season of his new seven-year pact with the team that he signed before the start of last season and carries an annual cap hit at $8.5 million per season until the end of the 2030-31 season.
