North Bay Battalion centre Dalyn Wakely continues to add to his quietly dominant season with his 100th point. Wakely joins his teammate Anthony Romani and Sudbury Wolves captain David Goyette as the only three to reach that feat.

The twenty-year-old Wakely has had one of the best breakout seasons in junior hockey this year, amidst his third season playing in the OHL. Wakely and Romani have been unbelievable for the Battalion this season, and they both have made cases for themselves as overage NHL Draft picks.

Being said that, Wakely and Romani play very different styles of games. Wakely is a natural centre, and he does a lot of things right with and without the puck. He possesses high hockey sense in all three zones and advanced anticipation to read opponents and get himself into areas where he can force turnovers.

Wakely's shot release and finishing ability has proven to be lethal this season, as he's got 37 goals. He may have been the quietest 30 goal scorer last season playing inside North Bay's bottom-six.

Though he is a 2004-born player, there is still a chance that Wakely gets his name called in Vegas at the 2024 NHL Draft as an overage player. If not, it is almost certain that he will get an NHL development camp invite.

Of course, Wakely got his 100th point of the season with an assist on Anthony Romani's goal against the Mississauga Steelheads.

Wakely and Romani have been an unstoppable duo in the OHL this season, and they both have eligible years left to play in major junior. If they are both hitting the 100-point mark this season, what can they accomplish next season?

North Bay has clinched a playoff spot and will look to go deep into the third round or later. Wakely and Romani will be vital to their success if they do make it that far.
