Team Red won 3-1 over Team White at the 2024 CHL Top Prospects Game, here are a few of the top performers from the OHL.

Another year, and another CHL Top Prospects Game has come to an end. Team Red takes the win in this one by a score of 3-1, including goals from OHLers Liam Greentree and Ben Danford.

Here are the standout performances of the game:

G, Ryerson Leenders, Team Red (Mississauga Steelheads)

    19 saves on 20 shots

Ryerson Leenders was phenomenal in his half of the game, stopping everything but one and making some very acrobatic saves. If you are an OHL fan, you know that Leenders seems to make acrobatic saves game-in-and-game-out. That was no different in this game.

Leenders' athleticism has proven to be one of the best among goaltenders in this draft class. He competes hard on every play and his play-style oozes confidence. He certainly caught some eyes in his half of play, and made some game-saving stops.

D, Ben Danford, Team Red (Oshawa Generals)

    1 Goal

Oshawa Generals defenceman Ben Danford looked very calm and controlled throughout this game. Nothing seemed to rattle him, and he was able to slow down and make plays under pressure. He was also able to find the back of the net by getting open on the backdoor and receiving a pass from Colton Roberts (WHL).

Danford's offensive game hasn't been at the forefront of conversation this season as much as it was last season, but he was able to showcase his offensive awareness in this game as well.

RW, Cole Beaudoin, Team Red (Barrie Colts)

Beaudoin had the exact kind of game that he needed to have — he was able to create consistently. Sure the concerns with his skating are still evident, but he proved that he is able to create efficiently while playing against high-speed players.

Beaudoin was sensational in this game, he had lots of chances offensively where he was able to cut into the middle, he was retrieving pucks, and using his body. He proved his physical edge in this game as well, engaging in post-whistle scrums and finishing his checks.

RW Beckett Sennecke, Team White (Oshawa Generals)

Beckett Sennecke proved that he has some of the best hands in the draft during this game. He was able to create room for himself with his hands in front of the net and get open. He was able to break free a couple of times in front, and showcase his hands forcing the goaltender to make an acrobatic save.

In this game, Sennecke established himself as one of the top creators with the puck in his hands, but also as one of the best at getting open around the net.
