
OHL week two wrapped up last night with five games on the docket. It was another exciting week filled with upsets, blowouts and close games.
Without further ado, here is a summary of the five games that took place last night.
Brampton Steelheads @ Niagara IceDogs
Niagara emerged victorious in the battle of undefeated teams in the Eastern Conference. Comparing Niagara last season to this season is a change from night to day. They are poised, confident and winning games early in the season. There is no better way to prove your prowess Brampton whom many people consider to be the top team in the league.
Porter Martone, who is off to a fantastic start, scored the opening goal 16 seconds into the first. However, Niagara turned on the jets and responded with six unanswered goals. The game ended in a 7-3 blowout win for Niagara.

Kevin He had three goals and three assists in the game for a total of six points. Rookie forward Max Crete also had a great night scoring a pair of goals. On the other side, Lucas Karmisris scored a pair for Brampton.
This game also featured an exciting goalie tilt that involved 2025 NHL draft prospect Jack Ivankovic and veteran Owen Flores.
Soo Greyhounds @ Sarnia Sting
While the previous game was a blowout, it was a tight contest in Sarnia between the Greyhounds and the Sting.
The two teams tallied a combined 43 shots in the game with Sarnia narrowly outshooting the Greyhounds.
Travis Hayes put the Greyhounds ahead midway through the first on a weird shot that bounced high and fell into the goal behind goaltender Evan Maillet.
The Sting got to work and Tyson Doucette pounded home a behind-the-net feed from Carter Kostuch to tie the game. Nathan Omeri scored the game-winner just over a minute into the third period getting Sarnia the win.
It was just the second win on the year for the Sting who jumped into fifth in the Western Conference.

Ottawa 67's @ Kingston Frontenacs
The Ottawa 67's grabbed the top spot in the East Division after winning a tight game against the Kingston Frontenacs.
The 67's have been oppressive in the first period dominating their opponents. Last night was no different with Ottawa recording 22 shots compared to Kingston's six.
The result was Ottawa jumping out to a 3-2 lead by the end of the first. However, Kingston battled back scoring a pair of goals in the second to tie the game at four heading into the third.

Swedish forward Filip Ekberg scored his second goal of the year to give Ottawa the win in overtime.
In the first meeting between Tuomas Uronen and his former team, the Finnish forward acquitted himself well recording a pair of assists. Meanwhile, Jack Dever was a standout for Ottawa recording a goal and a trio of assists.
Guelph Storm @ Kitchener Rangers
The two Midwest teams met on Sunday in a clash that would determine the top spot in the division. Kitchener ultimately overcame Guelph by a score of 3-2 after a tight game.
Vilmer Alriksson scored for Guelph on a nice cross-ice feed from Max Namestnikov. They took the lead into the second period.
Cameron Reid scored his first goal of the year to tie the game up midway through the second. Jack LaBrash recorded his first OHL point on the play. Within six minutes, Guelph regained the lead courtesy of Hunter Mackenzie.
Kitchener took over early in the scoring a pair of goals within the first five minutes. Antonio Pugliese scored the first goal while Ottawa Senators prospect Luke Ellinas scored the game-winner just over two minutes later.

Barrie Colts @ Oshawa Generals
Oshawa has struggled to start the season. With just one win and three points on the season, they currently sit eighth in the Eastern Conference.
By the end of the first, import forward Lauri Sinivuori scored his first goal of the year giving the Generals the lead.
Barrie went on to score three goals in the second to take a 3-2 lead going into the third. Utah prospect Cole Beaudoin scored the game-winner under two minutes into the period.
Luca Marrelli brought Oshawa within one, but ultimately it was not enough. Barrie held on to take the 4-3 victory.
Beaudoin scored two goals and added an assist in the game while teammates Riley Patterson and Emil Hemming had a pair of points.
Matthew Buckley had a goal and an assist for Oshawa in the game.
