Have you got limited time? We will make it easy, here are three can't-miss games happening this week.

With so many OHL games on the go every week it can be difficult to decide which game you want to watch. Obviously, many fans will want to focus on their team and there is nothing wrong with that. However, for those who like to keep up with the whole league, we are starting a series that will recommend at least three can't-miss games each week.

Without further ado, here are three big games going on in the OHL this week that you simply do not want to miss.

Saginaw Spirit vs Windsor Spitfires

On Wednesday night Saginaw hosts Windsor for the first game of the 2024-25 regular season. If that wasn't enough for you there are two other major factors that make this one of the best games to watch this week.

As the Memorial Cup Champions from last season, it feels right that Saginaw should take center stage to kick off the 2024-25 season.

Additionally, first-overall pick in the 2024 OHL Priority selection Ethan Belchetz will play in his first regular season game. He has been electric in the preseason showcasing all of the ability that made him a first-overall pick.

Wrap these things together and without a doubt Wednesday night's contest is a can't-miss game that will be interesting regardless of the score at the end of the night.

Brampton vs Brantford

On Friday night, the Brampton Steelheads will christen their new arena by hosting the Brantford Bulldogs. The Steelheads will be starting a new era and that is definitely something that OHL fans won't want to miss.

Brampton's offseason acquisition of Carson Rehkopf is another reason to tune in for this contest. The former 50-goal scorer will make his debut in the blue and white alongside his new teammates in what should be a high-powered offense. Brampton's roster is star-studied across every position and should be incredibly fun to watch this season.

Finally, both Brampton and Brantford landed top-five positions in the recent OHL Power Rankings. This should be a great hockey game between two strong teams. There is no better way to kick off your weekend than by sitting down and enjoying a quality OHL game between what may well be two of the top teams in the league.

Oshawa vs Ottawa

When these two teams meet fireworks usually ensue. It's the renewal of a rivalry that has been forming for the last few years.

Ottawa knocked Oshawa out of the playoffs two years ago. Last year, the two teams battled back and forth with Ottawa winning multiple one-goal games in overtime or the shootout.

Additionally, Oshawa is a team to watch closely this year. They made it to the finals of the OHL Playoffs last season where they fell to the London Knights.

The Generals have a very strong roster that features a plethora of extremely talented NHL prospects including Beckett Sennecke who was taken third overall in the 2024 NHL draft.

If these games don't catch your eye 19 other games will take place between Wednesday and Sunday this week. OHL hockey is back and fans everywhere can rejoice while they are swept up in the games that will soon be gracing our screens.
