The Colts, Greyhounds, Sting, Petes, and Attack come out of the weekend with two wins each, while the Saginaw Spirit have a disappointing 3-in-3.

After a twenty-one game weekend, there have been some outstanding performances, some disappointing performances, and several shifts in the standings.

Starting positively, the Colts, Greyhounds, Sting, Petes, and Attack each won two games this weekend.

Barrie and Owen Sound had big wins against teams that are way higher in the standings, as Barrie beat Mississauga, and the Attack beat the Rangers.

Barrie dominated against the first-place Mississauga Steelheads on Friday night, winning 6-1. Beau Jelsma had a standout performance with three points and two goals in the game. The Colts certainly threatened the Steelheads' confidence with this astounding win, ending their two game win streak. Sam Hillebrandt had an impressive performance in goal for the Colts, stopping 34 of 35 shots against.

On Saturday night, Barrie took on the Brantford Bulldogs. They won again in big fashion, by a score of 5-1. Hillebrandt had another outstanding performance — making 33 saves — and earning his second win of the weekend. Captain Connor Punnett also scored two goals in this matchup. Colts' rookie Jaiden Newton also made his OHL debut on Saturday, wearing number eighty-four. The Colts finish the weekend 2-0, scoring 11 goals through the two games and allowing just 2. They now sit 6th in the Eastern Conference and improve to a .500 win percentage.

On Saturday night, Owen Sound played Kitchener for the third time this season. After losing to them just over a week ago, the Attack got the better of the Rangers and won 5-3. Cedrick Guindon and Sam Sedley each put up three points, and rookie goaltender Carter George backstopped his team for the win. The Attack improve to 2-1 against the Rangers this season.

The last game of the entire weekend was Owen Sound vs. the Oshawa Generals, and the Attack took the win in a close game. Carter George also played his second game of the weekend, and had a phenomenal performance against the Gens. He made a combined 62 saves through the two games.

The Attack turned their losing record into a winning record this weekend, and now sit 6th in the Western Conference with a 6-5 record.

The most disappointing performance this weekend was from the Memorial Cup hosts, as the Saginaw Spirit went 0-3 in their 3-in-3 this weekend. On Friday night, the Spirit lost to the Greyhounds in a tight game, 5-4. Misa scored three points while Ethan Hay scored his first in a Spirit jersey. At the end of the day, the Spirit weren't shooting enough and Nolan Lalonde had a tough night in goal.

On Saturday, they lost a game that they were the favourites in. Sarnia took the win 3-1 with a standout performance in goal by Nick Surzycia.

To finish the weekend, Saginaw lost to their state-rivals, the Flint Firebirds. They lost by a score of 5-3 and Michael Misa scored two of their goals.

Michael Misa put up six points this weekend for the Spirit, and was a consistent bright spot during a tough three games. The Spirit are 9th in the Western Conference, and currently have a 4-6 record.
