A pair of draft picks will head the other way.
Just one week into the 2026-27 OHL season, we have an inter-conference trade announced.
The Brantford Bulldogs have acquired American forward Carson Andrew from the Soo Greyhounds in exchange for a 2028 4th (LDN) and a 2029 14th (BAR), the teams announced Thursday.
Andrew, 18, went pointless in two games during the opening weekend, after scoring 14 (7+7) in 50 games last campaign, which was his first in the OHL.
Carson Andrew will head out to Brantford. (Photo: Terry Wilson/OHL Images)It appeared as though the Bulldogs were in the market for a forward after they announced Nathan Hauad, who did not feature in the team's opening games, would be out month-to-month with an undisclosed injury.
Andrew will bring an element of size and physicality to a retooling Brantford side as well, and brings some characteristics GM Spencer Hyman clearly values.
"Carson is a player we're excited to add to our group," Hyman said in a press release. "He's a big man who brings hockey IQ and competes every shift. He plays with pace and purpose, and most importantly, he's a high character kid who fits our identity."
In the release, the Bulldogs say the St. Louis, MO, native is expected to join the team for Friday night's game against the Peterborough Petes.
