The OHL has concluded their investigation of Connor Lockhart, and he will now be eligible to return to the ice for the Oshawa Generals.

The OHL announced today that their investigation of Oshawa Generals forward Connor Lockhart has concluded. They came to the conclusion that the eight game suspension that he has served thus far will suffice for his punishment, and that he is eligible to return to the ice immediately.

The Generals play Saturday, tonight against the Erie Otters and Lockhart is expected to play.

Connor Lockhart stated: "I would like to thank my family, billet family, and loved ones. I am excited to get back to doing what I love, playing hockey" via X.

Lockhart has been a significant contributor in Oshawa's success this season. He has 39 points in 30 games with the Generals, including 20 goals. Lockhart has been playing a lot of time alongside Avalanche prospect Calum Ritchie, where they have both played off of each other quite well.

The overage winger was selected in the 6th round by the Vancouver Canucks in 2021, but was never signed to a contract by the organization. Lockhart will look to lock up a pro contract when this season concludes.

Lockhart was traded from the Peterborough Petes to Oshawa earlier this season. He won an OHL Championship with the Petes last season, and he has taken that veteran experience to Oshawa.

Tonight against the Otters, Lockhart will play on the right wing of Calum Ritchie, with Stuart Rolofs on his opposite wing.

Oshawa will be grateful to have their first-liner back, as he should make an impact upon immediate return for the Generals.
