On Friday night, the London Knights beat the Ottawa 67's at home, giving Dale Hunter 908 OHL career wins behind the bench, the second-most in league history.

London Knights Head Coach and President Dale Hunter won his 908th career game on Friday, October 27th, giving him the second-most among OHL coaches all-time.

The Knights played Ottawa on Friday night, as they took the 3-2 win in overtime. Easton Cowan scored the winning goal, securing win number 908 for Dale Hunter.

London has been the OHL's largest dynasty for as long as the Hunter brothers have been involved with the club. During their tenure — since 2000-2001 — they have won four OHL Championships and two Memorial Cups. The Knights always find a way to be competitive in the postseason, and they rarely have down seasons.

This season is no different. They have started the season with a 7-4 record, but play in a very tough Western Conference.

Dale Hunter is consistently able to get the best out of his players, which is why the Knights have so many NHL-affiliated prospects each year. Easton Cowan and Oliver Bonk are prime examples. The Knights decided to loan them to Junior B for the 2021-2022 season, instead of allowing them to play in the OHL. The next year, they have incredibly successful rookie seasons, and both become 1st round NHL Draft picks. A similar strategy has been used with current rookies Sam O'Reilly and William Nicholl.

Mark and Dale Hunter are very experienced when it comes to developing NHL prospects. With Dale behind the bench, they are able to get the best out of their players every night.

Dale Hunter trails Brian Kilrea of the league-lead in coaching wins, as Kilrea had 1,194. Hunter will continue to lead the Knights this season, as they look to overcome their OHL Finals loss from last year's playoffs.
