- USHL committed Colin Fitzgerald has been selected by the Peterborough Petes at 3rd overall
- Evan Headrick was the first real surprise of the draft to Kitchener, but the 5-foot-7 forward has unbelievable hockey sense and vision — a possible steal for the Rangers.
