Henry Mews (OTT), Frankie Marrelli (OTT), and Jack Ivankovic (MIS) have been added to Canada's roster ahead of the U18 World Championships, totalling thirteen players from the Ontario Hockey League on the roster.

Ottawa 67's defencemen Henry Mews & Frankie Marrelli, and Mississauga Steelheads goaltender Jack Ivankovic have been added to Team Canada's roster ahead of the IIHF U18 World Championship.
Mews, Marrelli and Ivankovic total thirteen Ontario Hockey League players on Canada's U18 roster, which leads all three CHL leagues.
The IIHF U18 World Championship is scheduled from April 25th - May 5th in Espoo & Vantaa, Finland. All thirteen players selected from the OHL are eliminated from the playoffs — which makes this tournament unique.
The U18's always give players a chance that wouldn't normally be selected, as only CHL playoff-eliminated players are able to attend.
Mews, Marrelli, and Ivankovic are significant adds to this roster. Henry Mews was phenomenal for Ottawa in the postseason, and his offensive tools and creativity will be welcomed on Canada's U18 roster. He's one of the better-skating defenders in this draft class, and he will be able to give scouts a final look before the combine and draft in the coming months.
Frankie Marrelli is very different than Mews, as he bases a lot of his defensive game around his strength and physicality. He is smart in his own zone, and has the ability to lockdown the front of the net.
This season, Jack Ivankovic had one of the best rookie goaltender performances we have seen in a long time. Though he isn't draft eligible until 2025, Ivankovic gives hope for development in Canadian goaltending, especially in Ontario. We should expect him to be a top goaltending prospect overall next season.
Ivankovic is the third goaltender added to Canada's U18 roster, joining his teammate Ryerson Leenders and Owen Sound Attack netminder Carter George. All three are from the Ontario Hockey League — not something we see often.
Henry Mews and Frankie Marrelli are the seventh and eighth defencemen added to this roster, meaning that they will have to fight for their spots in the lineup once the tournament begins.
Canada plays their first game at 12:00pm EST on Thursday, April 25th against Sweden.
